It is so good to be home with my friends again. I miss them while I am away at school. Even though I have made new friends at school it is always the best to come home to the friends who have known you for a while. Thank you to my friends for being such amazing people.

Christmas!

This Christmas we need to remember the true meaning of Christmas. It doesn't matter what you get for Christmas but the reason that we celebrate it. It is to remember Christ and his birth. We need to keep the spirit of Christmas instead of the wants and gifts.

Farm, Four-wheeling & Clay Pidgeon Shooting!

Today my family went out to the family farm in Cleveland. My aunt Holly, Uncle Mark and their family came also. We got to play on the four-wheeler and some of the family played apple baseball. Then some of us went up on the hill and shot clay pidgeons. Me, thinking I won't be able to hit any of them, but doing it just because I wanted to try, hit six clay pidgeons. My dad was surprised. Everytime I would hit one would turn to my uncle and say did you hit that? My uncle would reply: No It's her. It was the coolest thing. I was so surprised when I hit the first one. But still surprised when I hit the other five. I am probaly going to have a bruise on my shoulder tomorrow from having the gun kick back. But it was so much fun and I am so glad that I tried it.

New Movies!

I was looking to see what movies where coming out. I realized that there are only two movies at that theater that kids could see. Just one G movie and one PG. All the rest were PG-13 or R. That is sad that there aren't going to be many movies that we can see anymore.

Family!

This last weekend my family, Grandma Kay(who we dropped off at a assisted living center to go and see her sister Virginia) and the Spencer Family all went up to Logan. My sister Shelby and the Spencer's son Brett both go to Utah State. So we went up for parent weekend. We didn't even do any of the parent weekend stuff. We got some sandwichs and at them up the canyon by the trailhead. Then after we had eaten we went for a hike to wind cave. It's this cool cave that was made from wind. Then we went back to Shelby's dorm and watched the Utah state vs. Uinversity of Utah game. We ordered Cafe Rio for dinner and picked it up at ate it during the game. After the Third quarter we headed home. What should of taken two hours ended up in more like 3 to 3 1/2 hours. I believe we left at about 9p.m from Logan. Everything was going fine until we got to sardin canyon. They decided that saturday night would be a good night to do construction on the bridge. So traffice was backed up for ever. The breaks in our van were rubbing. So they weren't making a very fun sound. It could really annoying to hear it in the stop and go traffice. So we get up to where the construction guy holding the slow and stop sign is and we get stopped. The car in front of us made it through. So once we were back on the road and normal speed it was better. we dropped grandma off at her house in Salt Lake and headed the rest of the way home. 12:30 a.m is about when we got home. But all in all it was a really fun day and it was great seeing Shelby.

Happy Birthday!

today was my birthday! My friend Lindsay Draper and I went to dinner for my birthday. We went to Grogg's. It is a resturant down here in Price. The really nice thing about today was that I only had one class and that was Math. Rachel was the first to wish me happy birthday! I think my parents kind of forgot because we celebrated on Sunday!

College!

WOW! I am loving it down here. My ward is great and I love it more then my ward down at Snow College. I know more people in my ward here then I ever did at Snow. I have only been there one Sunday and one family home evening. But I already know a lot more people. At Snow there are still people in my ward that I never knew. School is going great I love it down here. Thank you for all the love and support.

Life!

Well I am now living in Price, have a job (that i'm not excited about), and started school today. I am so glad that Lindsay Draper is here so that I at least have one friend here that I know. classes went ok today. Will see how tomorrow goes. Tonight my stake is feeding us dinner so that is nice. I hope I make some more friends fast. I actually have one other friend besides Lindsay. Her name is Casey Cramer. I met her when I came down for orientation. We have a couple of classes together which is nice. My english teachers in the past have been quite talkers. Not this english teacher. He is loud and swears. So we will see how english goes.

left to right: Me, Rex, Lori Spencer, and Shelby.
this is us at Lake Powell. we were at Lake Powell from August 5-9th. We went with the Spencer family.

Saturday, August 9, 2008

Here is the tarantella that I found while in Lake Powell. My mom took a picture of it. I didn't really get a good look at it when I saw it in the dark. but here it is.

Lake Powell Again!

Well I went to Lake powell again this summer. except this time I went with my family and the Spencer's down the street. It was a lot of fun. We met a couple from Switzerland and then a family from Germany. We went tubing, water skiing, and wake boarding. My dad rented a Wave runner. I did drive it. Last night I was getting out of my tent to go and get my scriptures when I noticed something big and furry moving in the sand. It turned out to be a tarantella. It scared me to death. I am terrified of spiders. This just made it more difficult for me to sleep. My dad caught it in a cup and took it far from our camp, but this was after the neighbors came and looked at it.

My sister is also moving out in three weeks. so it will be just my brother and little sister at home. I am ready for school to start so that I will have something to do.

My Sister's

These are my sisters and me. When we were taking our pictures. I think this one is a really great one of us.

My Family!

My Sister's and I on sunday were taking pictures of just us three girls, for when Shelby and I go away to school this fall. We wanted a picture of our family and us three girls so that we could put it in our rooms at school. then we decided to take one of the whole family. I can't remember what I was laughing at though.

Jenny Phillips!

I got to meet Jenny Phillips on Friday. She was doing a fireside at a girls camp up Price Canyon and she invited my friend Lyndsi to go and sing with her. So Lyndsi invited Kelly Lowe and I to go and listen and then we would stay the night at my Grandpa's house in Price. Jenny is an Amazing person. If you don't know who she is she does the young women c.d's for each year Like Daughter of a King for 2007 and Steadfast & immovable for 2008. Lyndsi sings on the 2008 c.d.

Ready for School!

I know that may sound funny to all of you. But I really am ready for school to start. I liked living away from home. I know it was hard for me first semester and little during second semester down at Snow College. But now that I am living back at home I am ready to go back and to live on my own. This fall I will be transfering to the College of Eastern Utah, down in Price. I will be living with my grandpa. But it will be just me and him so it is like still living on my own. He will just be my roommate.

Colorado!

So Thursday July 3rd, my family and I left to go to Colorado. we left early enough that I could go meet with a Counselor at CEU. So we went and met with her and discussed my options. Then we continued on our way to New Castle, Colorado (which is were we turn off to go to the cabin). We stopped for lunch in a park in Price with my aunt Chris, Uncle Mike and their four kids. Then we continued on. So we finally get there to the cabin. (without my aunt and uncle because they were having car trouble) we get there about five. so we eat dinner at about six. Then after dinner I wasn't feeling well. I thought that I was just hungry so I ate a snack. it turns out that I really was sick. I was up most of the night. Then friday my family says lets go for a hike. They all went for a hike and I stayed at the cabin and read and slept. But I was doing better, I was just weak that was all. Turns out they got lost on the hike, glad I wasn't with them. Then saturday we went to Meadow Lake and had snacks and went for a short hike. Then Sunday we came home. On our way home my family stopped at this little Ghost Town called Sego. It is outside of Thompson Springs in Utah. Thompson springs seems like a ghost town also. It is a cool ghost town that has petroglyphs close by. It was really neat. Then we stopped in Price at my grandpa's house and he had made us dinner, so we had dinner there. We had to eat outside because the power had gone out.

JOB HUNTING CONTINUES!

If I don't find a job soon then I may have to be moving down to Price sooner then I thought. Because I have to find a job once I go to school down there. But I'm not ready to leave my friends yet. Because it may be a while before I see some of them. They are all going to Utah State. Even my Sister. I applied for a job today through SOS Staffing. So hopefully they are hiring and hopefully I get that job. I will have to wait and see.

River Trip!

Thursday June 26th my singles ward left to go on our river trip. We went down to Green River and rafted there. Thursday we got there and set up camp. Then Friday was the first day that we floated the river. We got in cars and drove up to where we were going to float down from. The whole time we were pulling and pushing people out of the boats. I got pushed out almost as soon as we were on the river. I don't know who threw me out, because the boys started fighting in the middle of the boat and all of the sudden I am in the water. Then at one point I pushed John in the water and he pulled me out with him. We went half way and then had lunch. After lunch we got back in the boats and finished floating the river to our campsite. Dan and I ended up in the yellow boat that was always behind everybody else. so we decided to get out and swim to the other boats, but we didn't make it to the other one before we came up on some rapids. they tell you to go through the rapids with your feet in front of you. but once your in the rapids it's hard to keep them in front of you. So he was beside me when we first started going through. then one time i got hit with water in my face and turned and Dan was gone. He had gotten caught in a different current then I had and ended up behind me and on the side of the river by all the rocks. I went right down the middle and was hyperventillating. I didn't float the rapids again after that experience. Then Saturday we floated from where we had lunch. it wasn't a very long ride. but we still had fun pushing each other in the river.

Still Looking for a Job!

The nanny job that I thought I had, well apparently I don't have that job. I only went that monday for one hour. Then she called on Tuesday and told me that she found someone that could go into the school year. So now I don't have a Job anymore.

Sunday, June 22, 2008

I FOUND A JOB!

I have finally found another job. I am a nanny for a family in Provo. I only babysit every other week. But it still is a job which is really nice. I will get paid $8.00 an hour. There are two kids 10 and 7. I'm excited I start tomorrow.

Saturday, June 21, 2008

Found a Job!

I think I may of found a job. it is every other week, but is Monday through Friday. It is in Provo, but I just need to be earning money, So I am o.k going there. then maybe I can find another job just for the weekend. So hope it works out. I will probably find out tomorrow.

Thursday, June 19, 2008

Still job Hunting!

Still haven't found a job yet. It is starting to drive me crazy. My parents keep pushing me to find a job. I keep looking and calling, nothing. Hopefully I will get one soon.

Manti Pagent

on Saturday my Singles ward went to The Mormon Miracle Pagent in Manti, Utah. I went down early with my roommates from Snow. We went up Manti canyon to a lake. Then Heather and I went back to Ephraim to have dinner at her apartment. Her roommate was making dinner and feed me also. That was really nice of her. Then we went to the Pagent. After the pagent we drove back home. I got home at 2 a.m.

Lake Powell

This past week I have been in Lake Powell. I left June 8th and got back June 12th. It was so much fun. I went tubing, swimming, wave runner, and parasailing. Parasailing is so much fun. My friend all thought that I was going to scream when I went up in the air. I didn't scream. I went with my friend's Kaylee Sandstrom(and her whole extended family) Lindsay Draper, and Lainie Thompson.

Job hunting!

Man it seems like I have applied almost everywhere and I still don't have a job. At least I worked for awhile during May, so I got some money. But if I don't get a job soon I don't know how I will being paying for school in the fall. I am already changing schools so that I don't have to pay rent. I will not be returning to Snow College in the fall. I will be going to the College of Eastern Utah. I'm excited for this change, it should be good.

Graduation

My Sister just graduated from High School on Thursday. It will be weird for my family to have two of us gone to college this fall. But they'll get use to it. My parents will only have two kids at home. which will be an adjustment.

Lunch Lady!

I am almost done being a lunch lady. I have enjoyed it and it pays well. but i can only handle so much of it. I am now looking for another job and i have been sending out applications but i still don't have a job. well i just applied at wal-mart so will see what happens there.

Tuesday, May 20, 2008

Worst then Monday's

What is worse then monday's is being sick. I hate being sick, because you miss out on things. I had to miss work today because i am sick. so hopefully I'm better by tomorrow. Usually when I am sick I don't get to sick. though one time i fainted when i was sick. how i didn't hit my head on the kitchen table beats me. at the time we may of had a table for the t.v. i hit the floor and my roommates door. They didn't even wake up. It was scary at first and made me cry, but now I just laugh about it. How many people get to say that they have passed out? I can now count myself in those few.

Monday, May 19, 2008

Monday's

I'm not a fun of Monday's. I think that it is the hardest day of the week. because i comes after days were you get to sleep in and then you have to wake up early to go to work or school. that is why I'm not a fan of Monday's, the rest of the week is easier for me.

Friday, May 16, 2008

Friday

I love Fridays, because for me that means that i get to sleep in the next day and not get up for work. Which is really nice. Because going to bed at 2:00 and waking up at 6:30 is not a good combination. I have trouble getting up anyways. but not getting much sleep doesn't help any. But i hadn't done anything with my friends for awhile. so it was really nice to do something with them.

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Lunch Lady

I can tell you right now that I am glad that I am going to school to finish my Education. I couldn't be a lunch lady for the whole school year. Just this month is bad enough, even these last couple of days. Having this job has made me want to finish my schooling so that i actually enjoy the job that i am doing. I wanted to finish my schooling before this, but this just makes me want to finish it more.

It was fun. after some friends and I decided that we wanted a twisted frosty. so we went to Wendy's and got frosties. it was Alyssa, Kerstin, Matt and Me. It was lots of fun, after that Matt, Alyssa and I went back to my house and we played ping pong.

School

On April 30, 2008, I finished my first year at snow college. I really enjoyed it the second semester because i was there more then the first semester. I am really excited to be going back in the fall. I will be moving back August 14th, because i am going to be a Start Smart Mentor. what that is the Sophmores show all the freshmen around campus and help them get there mailbox and student id cards. then we are there for support throughout the year. It should be really fun and i am excited to be part of it.

Work

Last thursday I started working at Fox Hollow Elementary School. I am a lunch lady. it pays eight dolloars an hour which is nice until i find another job(this lasts until school is out).
