Being an Example of the Believers!

I love the Christmas Season. I love how the world and the always rushing to be somewhere seems to slow down and the world just seems so much more quiet. I don't really like the cold but I love the snow because it is so white and clean looking, before anyone walks through it. I love the Christmas Stories and Movies. One of my favorite Christmas Movies is it's a wonderful life. These movie shows that when we may think that our life is not going the way we want or goes the way we plan, that we really do have a wonderful life. We have family around us that loves us and will always be there to support and be a shoulder to lean on. We just need to talk to them so that they can help us. We need to share our beliefs with others and we can do that by the way we act and even serving. These are ways that we can be examples of the believers.

Thanksgiving!

Wow time flies. It just seems like I moved to Price and school was starting. Now I am moving home. I am so thankful for wonderful parents who support me in everything I do in my life. I don't know what I would do without them.
I have wonderful siblings too.
Shelby- is always so thoughtful and caring. I just love being with her.
Nate- even though it may be embarassing for him to tell me he loves me and hug me in front of his friends, I love it when he does. He is such awesome brother. I couldn't ask for a better one.
Abby- She can drive you crazy sometimes but I love her. Always wanting to do stuff with her older siblings. It must be strang for her to have two of her siblings gone.
I am so thankful for the wonderful roommates that I have had this semester. I am grateful that we all get along so well. I will miss them next semester.
I am thankful for my cousin and wonderful friend. She is also my roommate and I love living with her. I can't wait for August when we will be living in my grandma's basement.
I am thankful for all the wonderful friends that I have in my life and they are all truly a blessing.

To much to do and so little time!

Wow with Thanksgiving coming up and me moving the wednesday after I have a lot to do. I will be moving most of my stuff home over Thanksgiving and then just leave what I need for the three days that I will be here. I am ready for this and I feel that it is the right thing to move home. I just need to figure out what I am going to do school wise. I have the fall figured out. I just need to figure out the time in between. I am excited for Thanksgiving. I love all the yummy food and being with the family. This year we will be at my aunt and uncles new house. So that will be fun and Shelby should be able to come down for dinner. But she is working so there is a chance she won't make it down.

Next Fall!

Well my plan that is pretty much set in stone is that I am moving home in December. I have loved living in the dorms and living with my cousin Ashlie. I just feel like I need to be doing something different. I guess I just get restly in one place. But I feel that going home right now is the right choice. I have always struggled in school. so I just need to find something that I can do. I am hoping to move to Salt Lake in August and live in my Grandma's basement. My cousin Ashlie is going to come and live with me there while she goes to school.
As for me in the fall I am hoping that I will either be doing some kind of techincal college or working. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens. I will just put my faith in the Lord and know that he will guide me to what I need to do or have happen in my life.

Busy weekend!

Wow this weekend has been tiring and funny. We went to Moab for fall Break and went to Devils Garden and Delicate Arch on Thursday. Then Friday we went on a hike to a waterfall and then went to Dead Horse Point. Friday was the ride back home and stopped in Price to have dinner with Grandpa for his birthday.
Saturday we went to Nate's Ball games(they won both). Grandma Kay came to the second game and then took us to lunch at Johanna's. well Shelby ordered a hamburger and was opening the Ketchup and it exploded every where. It covered Shelby, mom and me. it was fermented Ketchup so it exploded. it just started laughing.
Saturday afternoon I went to see my friend Lauren's apartment in Provo and then we both went over to our friends Lyndsi's house. Lauren met Trent for the first time. We just laughed and remembered things from when we were little. Then that night I went to a Mascerade ball with my Friends Hillary, Lorie, Alyeda and then some of Lorie's roommates. It was at a house in South Jordan. it was fun just to dress up. we decorated our masks at Hillary's house. We got ready in her room. She has the pull up bar that is in her door way and everyone else fit under it. I kept ducking the whole night. then we were getting ready to leave from the dance and went out of her room. I walked right into the bar. it hurt. We didn't stay long at the dance because we all had early morning things.
Today I went to my friend Jesse Wilkinson's Farewell. He is going to Paraguay on his mission. He is such an awesome guy. I meet Jesse when we went on Trek. He was the Pa and I was the Ma of the family. He is so genuine and kind. It was also Austi Stentson farewell. She is going to San Deigo. After Church I went over to Jesse's and had some food. They will both make great missionaries.
Well that is my weekend. I will be heading back to Price tomorrow.

Time goes by so fast!

Well it is fall break, hard to believe that I have been in Price for three months. This is going to be my last semester here. I am going to be moving home in December and just be working until I figure out what I am going to do. Man it is hard to decide what I am going to do in life right now.

But today my family and I will be headed down to Moab for a couple of days. It is really nice that all our fall breaks fell at the same time. usually they aren't the same time. But Utah State, CEU and Alpine School district happened to schedule at the same time. I am really excited and need this break right now.

School Again!

Well I have made it through the first week of classes. I ordered my books before I moved down here on the 15th of August. it has been frustrating because they hadn't made it in time for school to start. but they finally made it here Monday. The roommates are awesome. which is a big bonus. I have biology and psycology. I still have my job at Sorenson. I have a calling already. I am one of the presidents in the Institute womens association. it should be fun.

Cruise Time!

It is finally time to go on our cruise. We leave this saturday. We have been shopping to get last minute things we need, find someone to take us to the airport, pick us up when we get home, and choose which excursions we want to go on. I am so excited.

It's July!

I know it's been awhile since I posted last but our computer was being stupid everytime I went to add a new entry. well since the last time I wrote I have been to Arizona and to Lake powell. I went to Lake Powell with my friend and her family and stayed on their houseboat. Actually a whole bunch of friends went. but july is finally here and I need to do college prep to get everything together before we leave on our cruise in August.
I am mostly just working this summer. I do somethings with friends in the eveings but tend to like to not stay out late since I work mornings. That is what is new with me right now.

Arizona!

so tomorrow my mom, grandma, and I leave to go to Arizona for my cousins wedding. I am very excited because I could use a vacation. Also some time to try and get over my cold with out having to work or do anything will be nice. We come back saturday evening. It will be fun to see my family that I haven't seen for a while. sure hope it is warm while we are there!

Getting phone fixed, fire & a Movie.

so for the past couple of weeks my phone has been talking to me.(it would say call from "say the persons name" or "text from") needless to say it scared me to death the first time it did it. Worst thing was I don't know how it happened. I didn't set it. So I called Verizon and they told me all these things to try and I did them but it didn't fix them. So finally I took it to the Verizon store and they were able to fix it. Yeah! no more talking phone.

My friend Brittany Jesse and I are sisterless this summer. Shelby is staying in Logan and working this summer and then Brittany's sister is staying in Provo. So that means we are being each other's sisters which is perfect because Brooke is my age and Brittany is Shelby's age. Well tonight we decided we were going to do a fire and just roast hotdogs and and make smore's. Then we were going to watch a movie.

While we were watching "The Perfect Man" my eyes and throat started to itch. I was thinking over everything I ate and knew that it wasn't that because I have never had a problem with hotdogs, marshmellows, chips and the cookies. so when I got home and told my parents about it. My dad just said that I must be getting seasonal allergies.(my mom has allergies). So I guess it was just a matter of time before I started having them. Oh well.

I am home!

I am finally home. Which is really nice. I just hate that I need to unpack everything so that I have room in the my room to open the closest and walk. Stop moving everything from my bed to the floor so that i can sleep. but it may take a couple of days. I am just glad to be home.

10 things I hate about moving!

1. The mess.
2. Everything is in boxes.
3. I live out of boxes for the next four months.
4. Trying to decide what I need for the rest of the week.
5. No room in the my room because of the boxes, duffles and the garbage bag.
6. My bed is covered with stuff everyday as I try to pack. (hangers, clothes, books)
7. I don't know where anything is.
8. I run out of boxes before I have everything packed.
9. I just hate packing to move.
10. I then have no room in my room at home because everything mostly in boxes still.

Can this go any slower?

You know when you are excited for something to come or to go somewhere and it just seems like it is taking forever to get there. Like when you go on Vacation. You are so excited to get there and the drive just seems to drag on and on. Once your there you enjoy it and then the drive back doesn't seems as long as the drive there.

Well that is what this week seems to be doing. School ended this week and finals start next week. My final is May 1st, Friday. So that means that I have to wait until friday to take my test and then Saturday to move home. If this week was slow I can't even imagine how slow next week is going to be. At least I have work so that will pass some of the time. Also reviewing for the test. The one and only final that I have is Math. Those who know me know that I hate math and that I don't do so well at it. So heres to hoping that I pass the test.

Thinks that next fall is going to be a blast!

I am so excited for the fall. I am going to be living with some amazing people. Mckenzie Lindsay, Lindsay Draper, Ashlie Nacey, Annie Parson, and Whitney Ison. We are going to have so much fun in our room. I am excited now to come back since I know who I am going to be living with. Not that I didn't enjoy the roommates I had at snow. But I think it will be nice to know them and know that we can get along okay.

A week to go!

well this is our last week of school and then finals start next week. I am so ready to be done. Second semester is always the hardest for me because it is warming up and you just want to be out side. But we only have a week of that and then I move home May 2nd. Then May 14th I go to Arizona. So that is a nice way to start the summer off and then ended with a bang on our cruise.

School is almost out!

Well this week is the last week of classes and then finals start next week. I am so ready to be done and move home for a time. I am going to have some fun this summer, but I will mostly be working. In May I am going to Arizona for my cousins wedding. Then June and July I don't have anything. Then in August my family is going on a cruise. I am very excited for this cruise. I have never been out of the United States. so this makes it even more exciting. I just need to finish my passport application. Just waiting for payday!

FALL!

so August is going to be an exciting month. My family is going on a cruise. We will be going to Grand Cayman, Roatan(Honduras), Belize City and Cozumel(Mexico.) I am so excited. Then I decide I am coming back to CEU in the fall. I am going to being living in the dorms though. I am going to live with my cousin Ashlie Nacey and two of her roommates from this semester. Then my friend Mckenzie Lindsay is going to live with us. I am so excited. We will have some fun.

Spring Break update!

So spring break was supper fun except for starting Wednesday I kept having headaches. I would take medicine and then four hours later I was taking it again. (I never get headaches like that. I can usually just sleep them off.) So I thought okay maybe I am catching something. Thursday I went and ran errands with my Grandma Kay and we went to lunch. (head still hurt) Friday my friend Lyndsi Bromley and I did pedicures. (still had a headach) Saturday my family went out to breakfast and then I babysat my friends little brothers.(still had a headache) I woke up Sunday morning with the flu.(headach gone) So Monday comes around and I had to call in sick to work. (The whole 9 months that I have been there I have never called in sick.) But my head hurt but I was weak still from being sick. I am doing much better this week then last.

Spring Break!

So it is spring break this week I am so glad to be home with my family. Today I got my hair highlighted which was needed. But I realized that I forgot my camera. So kind of disappointing. I wanted to get some pictures with my family and friends. I guess I will have to do that when I come home in May.

Trap & Skeet Again!

So when I signed up for classes this semester I was fine with taking just one class. But my father informed me that I needed more then one class. So I chose a class that would not only be easy but would be once a week.(thinking I had math mtwth) The class is really quite fun and I enjoy it I just wish I could hit more clay pigeons then I do. So it's a class that doesn't require homework which is my kind of class.
I also found out on Monday that my math test is going to be a take home test.(only part of the test is usually take home.) but I am not complaining that means I get to use my notes and book on the test. Lets hope that means I will get a better score then I would have otherwise.

Moving home!

Well I will be moving home May 1st. I am not sure what I am going to be doing in the fall but I am glad to be back near my friends and my family. This summer I will be working two jobs so that I can save up and buy a car.(I am hoping to get a toyota corrolla) I am not sure if I will be going to UVU or some kind of trade school. I guess i'll figure that all out when I am home. I am glad that I will be home in the Fall.

Bonfire

So last night for family home evening we had a bonfire. We meet at the institute to go up there but we left before everyone to go pick up a friend. We went back and everyone was gone. So we called to find out how to get there and then got lost. We drove around for an hour trying to find where they were. we couldn't find them. They had to come find us. Of course they were concerned because we had the hot chocolate in my car. It spilled all over the floor and my friend who was holding it. We finally got up there and didn't stay very long.

Life is Good!

Wow, I have noticed that since I have gotten facebook I kind of ignored my blog. But I am going to be better at writing. My life is going really well right now. I am loving it down here in Price. I love my ward here so much more then I did at snow or even the singles ward back home. Everyone just seems more willing to make new friends. I am still working and going to school so I stay pretty busy. I love to say "Enjoy the little things in Life!" it is so true. We do need to enjoy that small times and the things in our life. It will make our life so much more enjoyable. We all have a season of our life were it may seem like the world is out to get you. but by enjoying the little things it may make those season so much more enjoyable and bearable.

Valentines Day!

So for Valentines Day my roommate Shelly from when I was at Snow College and her roommate Hadi from Last semester went out to dinner and a movie. We ate at Mimi's. While at Mimi's we saw this couple come in and the girl looked like she was 12.
They got sitted behind us and at one point while I was signing my recipt, I noticed out of the side vision this hand. The guy was behind me and was streching and his had was getting closer and closer to my face. Then I think he put his hand behind his head. Hadi and I were laughing. Shelly didn't realize what had happened so we had to tell here once we left.
Then Shelly wanted to go to a movie so we went to Twilight. We had all seen it but of all the movies at the theater it was the cleanst one there. We wanted to see Madagascar 2 but it wasn't showing at the time we wanted.

Draper Temple Open House!

So on Febraury 13th my friends and I all went to the Draper Temple open house. That temple is incredible. I really loved the brides room. It truly was a beautiful temple and it was fun to be able to go and see it with my friends.

Cute Blog!

well I had a really cute blog and then something happened and I don't know where it went. I really need help on knowing what I am doing. Oh well I'll figure it out at one point. I am really excited for this weekend because I am going to the Draper Temple open house. I have never been to a temple open house before so I am really excited. I am going with a bunch of my friends so that will be exciting. I have heard that the bride room is really beautiful. So that will be exciting.
My Grandma is now out of the care center so I will be going and seeing her Saturday morning. Which will be exciting. Then I think I am going tubing with the singles ward from Highland. But I am glad to be going home.

Done!

I am done getting cavities filled. Today I went in to get the last ones filled. I am hoping and working on not having cavities again for awhile. I am not a very big fan of going to the dentist. I have always hated the dentist. But my guess is because I don't like getting shots. I don't like seeing the needle. At least with other shots you can look away no problem. Well the dentist it is right there in your face and my eye range. so I always kind of tense up when I get the shot. But I am glad to be done for now.

Scary Night!

So I have been spending some time out in East Carbon with my Great-Grandma and cousins. We play games and go eat at their family resturant. I usually end up staying there long then I plan on. Well last Saturday I went and it was really foggy when I got to East Carbon. I thought nothing of it until I left that night and it was foggy the rest of the way home.

Well I was driving down the road from East Carbon to get on Highway 6 and drive into Price. Well I hadn't even made it to the highway when I saw flashing lights. I was talking to my mom at the time and told her I had to go that there was an accident. From what I got out of it the semi had come off a side road and just kept going straight off the road. So of course he was blocking both lanes of traffice. The policeman came up and said that it would be a couple of minutes before they got it moved. I sat there for 20 minutes. Then they finally came up and said that they were going to get it turned around and then they would start moving us. It was a little scary because I was in the fog, it was dark out and I was in the car by myself. I made it home safely by following the taillights of a semi. It just took a little longer getting home then need be.

Is wondering!

I am wondering why I ever signed up for a night class. I know it's only once a week but I am so tired from school and work by time it is time to go to class. It is trap & skeet shooting. I believe that it will be more fun once we actually get to start shooting. Right now we are going over the rules and history. Not very fun. Oh well I will have to get use to having a night class.

The Dentist!

So I went to the dentist before Christmas just to get a cleaning done. Well I guess my teeth had other plans that I didn't. I had six cavities, of course I went to the dentist before finals. I was not going to the dentist during finals week and then I left right after finals. So last wednesday I went to the dentist to get them filled. Those who don't know that I don't like needles, well I don't so that is my least favorite part of the dentist. ( I don't do the laughing gas either) It didn't hurt to bad until I wasn't numb anymore. But what I think is so funny about going to the denstist is when he asks you a question while he is working in your mouth. How does he plan on you answering him. It just makes me laugh.

Well the dentist adventure is not over. I have to go back on the 4th of Feb. to get the other three cavities filled. That should be fun. Not! But what I have learned from this whole thing is if you can go to the dentist do. Don't wait a couple of years.

It's been awhile since I've written!

But I have been reflecting lately on the last couple of years and everything that has happened. Some of the things have not been easy, but they have helped me to grow and experience new things in life. For example:
* Going to Snow College,
* living with people I didn't always get along with, but helped me learn how to get a long with them.
* My Grandma dying.
* Changing colleges and now going to the College of Eastern Utah.
* My friends sister dying.
All of these things have helped me to grow and become a better person. I have also learned that life isn't always the way you plan or want it to go. Things happen unexpectedly, but what matters is your attitude when these things happen.
If you have a positive attitude towards those hard times in your life then you life is easier. If you always sad and negative then you don't see the good in your life. I have this saying that I like to say. it is "Enjoy the little things in life." If we enjoy the little things in life then it can make life so much more enjoyable.
