–Gordon B. Hinckley, “The Marriage That Endures”, Ensign, Jul 2003, 2–7.
“It is not just that the Book of Mormon teaches us truth, through it indeed does that. It is not just that the Book of Mormon bears testimony of Christ, though it indeed does that, too. But there is something more. There is a power in the book which will begin to flow into your lives the moment you begin a serious study of the book… You will find greater power to resist temptation. You will find the power to avoid deception. You will find the power to stay on the strait and narrow path. The scriptures are called “the words of life” (D&C 84:85), and nowhere is that more true than it is of the Book of Mormon. When you begin to hunger and thirst after those words, you will find life in greater and greater abundance.”
President Ezra Taft Benson, October General Conference 1986
"Each of us is a runner in the race of life. Comforting is the fact that there are many runners. Reassuring is the knowledge that our eternal Scorekeeper is understanding. Challenging is the truth that each must run. But you and I do not run alone. That vast audience of family, friends, and leaders will cheer our courage, will applaud our determination as we rise from our stumblings and pursue our goal". - Thomas S. Monson, “Never Give Up,” Ensign, September 1994
I am so thankful that we have prophets today and in the past. to guide and help us find our way back to our Heavenly Father. They are there to guide and keep us on the straight and narrow path. These prophets whose quotes I have shared were great leaders and guided by Heavenly Father on what we need to hear and when we needed to hear it. All the prophets have been guided by the Holy Ghost. We to can be guided by the Holy Ghost. When you pray listen for the answer to your prayers.
