Family!
So i have really gotten into family history lately. I first really got into as I was getting ready to go through the temple for myself. I wanted to find all these names so that I could do them every time I went. I finished those names in begining of July. I have finally gotten some new ones that I need to go and do. But what I am really wanting to know about is my Ensign side of the family. I don't really know all that match about my name sake.
Here is as far back as I know:
Alexis Lee Ensign
Craig Allen Ensign- Father
Donald Harker Ensign- Grandpa
Clarence Wesley Ensign- Great Grandpa
I don't know anything about my ancestors leading up to: Gracie Free Ensign- Great Great Great Grandma
The only reason I really know anything about her is I made contact with one of my cousin's who had a pamphlet on Gracie's parents. They really had an amazing life. They were some of the first pioneers here in Utah. They came in the same company and Brigham Young. The first place they had their land here in Salt Lake is where Liberty Park now sits. Gracie Free married Frank Victor Ensign April 15, 1893 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had eleven children which included my Great Grandpa Clarence Wesley Ensign.
I just feel this strong desire to know more about my name sake the Ensign's. I feel it truly is a shame that I don't know anyone really besides my immediate family members. I do know a couple of my grandpa's siblings but haven't seen them in a very long time. I think part of the reason i don't know much about the Ensign side of the family is that they aren't members. There are a couple of us that are: my parents and siblings, My cousin Kimberly, husband and kids. She also has a sister who is a member.
One of the sayings my Great Great Great Great Grandma Mary (Gracie's mom) use to say is "if a thing is worth doing at all, it is worth doing well." This is so true. I am truly grateful to learn this little part of my family that I have. I love my family!

First real snow storm!
I am not really into a huge fan of snow. But I am not use to having to clear snow off of my car. When I lived at my parents house I got to park in the garage. It snowed all day yesterday and was snowing for a bite today still. It didn't help that i am sick when I had to clean my car off today. It really wiped me out but the snow was pretty deep. Guess I am going to have to get use to cleaning snow off my car.
